[The Fact｜Intern Reporter Heejoo Kim] The group BTS recorded top ranking for Foreign Album in Japan Oricon’s Year-end Annual Rankings.

According to the ‘Oricon’s 51st Annual Year-end Rankings 2018’, the album of BTS “LOVE YOURSELF: ANSWER” ranked 1st place in “Top Foreign Album Rankings’ on the 20th (JST). Not only BTS ranked the top foreign album rankings but ranked 7th in ‘Album Ranking’ with the full album vol. 3 ‘FACE YOURSELF’, released last April, and ranked 6th of the ‘Top 10 Artist Sales Ranking’. As a result, BTS recorded highest ranking record among Korean artists as well as foreign artists by reaching top 10 in three different rankings that are foreign albums, albums, and artist for this year. For artist sales ranking, they were the only foreign artist who could record their names. The full album vol. 3 of BTS ‘FACE YOURSELF’ is recorded with total of 12 songs such as ‘Don’t Leave Me’, the OST of the Japanese Drama ‘Signal Chouki Kimaiketsu Jiken Sousahan(シグナル 長期未解決事件捜査班)’, ‘Let Go’ ballad music, and the Japanese version of most beloved songs worldwide ‘DNA’ and ‘MIC Drop’ and others. 

This album surpassed the 250,000- unit sales volume last June and was certified ‘Platinum’ in the Japan Gold Disc Award, which is awarded by The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
